OK, so the year 2K is finally here! After all the hype and media coverage, it seems like it was here a long time ago! The electricity in our house is fine, the phone works, some shops are open today, my computer is running perfectly, the fridge works, the toilet flushes. I guess I’ll survive! Shit! The world was supposed to end yesterday! I should be in heaven, what am I doing in London? 
Anyways, 31st of December also happened to be a special religious night for muslims, so I decided to stay home that night. Me and my family almost never celebrate New Year’s anyway. I called Pakistan yesterday, and people were like, “What? Tomorrow is New Year?” Sid went out with —- Ronnie and Richo!! Yes! We met them a few days ago. I think we are supposed to go to Ronnie’s place today for Iftar, but I’m not sure. Iftar refers to the time when we break our fast in the evening, for those of you who don’t know.
